Organisational development & sparringFrom an operational bottleneck to a more resilient organisation
As the company grew, more and more operational responsibility converged on the founder and CEO. Together, strategy, organisational structure and leadership-team development were adapted to that growth. New communication formats and tools improved collaboration. In critical situations, this also included managing internal communications and temporarily leading restaurant operations. Together with those involved, the restaurant strategy was sharpened and translated into clear decisions—including opening seven days a week.
Outcome: Reorganised responsibilities, an adapted organisational structure, a developed leadership team, and guest and revenue records in the restaurant.
Digital platform & business buildingFrom business case to a platform for more than 28 media brands
The starting point was not an existing system, but a new business idea. Within one year, an SAP-connected sales portal was built from business case to go-live. It was then developed during live operations into a B2B2C platform for more than 28 media brands. Different brand-specific requirements were brought together in a shared architecture, enabling new features to be implemented once, used across brands and continuously developed.
Outcome: In parallel, I grew the responsible business unit from a one-person operation to more than 20 internal and external people. ROI was reached after three years instead of five.
Transformation & collaborationMake change tangible before introducing methods
A division leader wanted to move a development unit of around 60 software developers towards more agile ways of working. The planned change initially triggered resistance. The designed and facilitated two-day business retreat therefore deliberately did not begin with frameworks and methods. People were first met where they were, and the philosophy behind agile work was made tangible through concrete exercises. Only then was it translated into suitable frameworks, methods and day-to-day collaboration.
Outcome: By the end, the connection between philosophy, principles and methods was clear. Initial resistance became tangible energy: those involved actively demanded and advanced the next stage of agile development.
Digital workplace & transformationFrom global intranet to a user-centred digital workplace
As part of the planned modernisation of the global intranet, the approach was developed into a mobile social intranet and deliberately linked to the intended cultural change. Two years later, an international user survey formed the basis for a central entry point into the digital workplace. As early as 2022, the aim was to reduce complexity consistently: what communication, ways of working and access do several thousand employees really need? Access to the existing tool landscape was aligned with their actual needs.
Outcome: An internationally and user-centred foundation for the digital workplace of several thousand employees. The first development stage received the Inkometa Award 2019 and the PR Award 2020.
